I am offering a new embroidered cape design in Ann Arbor Fiber Expo this weekend….SHEEP. I hope you like it. The cape sells for $45 and will be sold Sat-Sun at Washtenaw County Fairgrounds.
Booth name: Braider’s Circle.

Pleased to offer the finished bouclé/vinyl/twill 3-blazers bag, upcycled and braided from some very dated finds at an area AmVets thrift store. I started stripping these as far back as May, with at least one earlier post then.
I found silver leather handles because no other color would do. The handles came with only two large pre-punched holes. I tried sewing them on, but I wasn’t satisfied. I found deep rivets with screw-in backs, which handled the depth of the piece nicely. “Dot” pattern throughout.

Seems like I’ve been working on this for months…because I started taking apart the odd blazers in May. One was silver vinyl, another was bouclé and the third was a stretchy twill. No wool in any of them. I am having a hard time with trim and buttons. I need 8 buttons plus one for the closure. I don’t have enough of anything that matches the bag. I’m gonna sit on this problem for a bit and see what can be done with using what I already own, rather than buying new.
