Culinary Arts opened for business today!

During their first Culinary Store Day, our AM students served muffins, cookies, and drinks to a steady line of customers. This afternoon, our PM students took the shop outdoors, preparing pizzas in wood-fired ovens and selling them by the slice alongside more baked goods and drinks.

Each Thursday, students will operate this bake-and-take shop for the Enoree community. From preparing quality food to managing sales and serving customers, they are gaining hands-on experience with the pace, teamwork, and responsibility required in the food-service industry.

We are proud of our Culinary Arts students and instructors for a strong opening day!

Students in Mr. Fowler’s Production Engineering class are already putting technical knowledge into action!

Students are learning to safely select and use hand tools while building their skills through drilling, tapping, deburring, chamfering, and precision measurement. They are not just completing a project. They are learning how tool selection, machine setup, and attention to detail affect the quality of finished work.

One student walked us through the process of creating his practice plate and explained how each step builds his understanding of semi-precision machining tools. He also shared that he hopes to become a design engineer and said, “Love everything I do in here.”

This is what Career and Technical Education is all about: giving students hands-on experience, helping them discover their interests, and connecting today’s learning to tomorrow’s career.
