Discover at the Library: Database Spotlight 📚

Google isn’t your only option 👀

When you’re working on a paper, presentation, or research project, library databases can help you find reliable information that may not show up in a regular web search.

With library databases, you can find:

🔎 Scholarly and peer-reviewed articles
📰 Newspapers and magazines
📚 eBooks and reference sources
📊 Research on a wide range of subjects
✅ Information you can feel more confident using for class

Not sure which database to try? Ask a librarian! We can help you choose the best place to start and find what you need.

Sometimes the best source is just a few clicks beyond Google. 💻📖

🎒 Just For Fun Thursdays: Pick Your College Survival Item!

If you could only choose ONE to get you through the semester, what are you picking? 👀

☕ Coffee — because sleep is apparently optional
🎧 Headphones — instant focus mode
📅 Planner — keeping the chaos somewhat organized
🍫 Snacks — essential study fuel
😴 Nap — not an item, but very relatable

Which one are you choosing? Drop your answer in the comments! 👇

Tuesday Student Success Tip: Take a 5-Minute Semester Check-In📚

We’re far enough into the semester that now is a great time to ask yourself:

✅ What’s going well?
⚠️ What needs a little more attention?

Take five minutes to check:

- Upcoming assignments and exams
- Your current grades
- Classes or topics that feel confusing
- Whether your study routine is actually working
- Anything you may need help with before it becomes stressful

💡 Pro tip: You don’t need to completely reorganize your semester. Sometimes one small adjustment—starting an assignment earlier, asking a question, or blocking out study time—can make a big difference.

A quick check-in now can help you finish the semester stronger. 💪📖

📚 What’s Your Study Personality? 👀

When it’s time to actually get something done, what kind of study environment do you need?

🤫 Silence — every little sound is a distraction
🎧 Music — playlist on, focus activated
☕ Coffee shop noise — just enough background buzz
🌪️ Chaos — TV on, snacks everywhere, five tabs open… somehow it works

Which one are you? Drop your answer in the comments! 👇

📚 Tuesday Student Success Tip: Study What You Don’t Know

Midterms coming up? Instead of rereading everything from the beginning, start by figuring out where your biggest gaps are.

Try this:
✅ Quiz yourself without looking at your notes
✅ Mark the topics you hesitate on or miss
✅ Spend most of your study time on those areas
✅ Review what you already know briefly at the end

💡 Pro tip: Testing yourself is often more useful than simply rereading notes because it shows you what you actually remember.

Study smarter, not just longer. You’ve got this! 💪📖
