At the time it was the hardest thing I’d ever attempted… But I knew if I was going to be serious about sobriety, I couldn’t just remove a habit. I had to replace it with something that gave me adventure, purpose, and a reason to wake up. And it doesn’t have to be running. It just has to be something bigger than the bottle.
