Why Join a Parenting Discussion Group?

Parenting a young child is filled with incredible joy—and plenty of challenges. Helping little children navigate big emotions requires patience, understanding, and lots of practice for both children and adults!

This parenting discussion group offers a welcoming space to connect with other parents who understand the ups and downs of raising young children. Together, we'll share experiences, explore questions, learn about how emotional regulation develops, and discover practical strategies to support our children—and ourselves.

Most importantly, you'll be reminded that you don't have to navigate these exciting and sometimes perplexing years alone.

Exciting summer opportunities are coming from Light and Learn, LLC! 🌿

This summer, I’ll be offering two supportive discussion opportunities for parents and caregivers of young children:

💛 An in-person parent discussion group in Bemidji
📚 A virtual parenting book discussion

Both will include four 1-hour sessions designed to encourage connection, reflection, and practical strategies for everyday parenting.

The July in-person group will focus on emotional regulation — both for young children and for us as the adults supporting them.

The August virtual book discussion will provide a relaxed space to learn and grow together through conversation and shared ideas. We will be using the book, Raising Good Humans, by Hunter Clarke-Fields.
