A massive thank you to our incredible friend, Melanie at Canvas & Corks, for being the perfect host for all our summer camps! ✨

Her beautiful, creative studio provided the ideal setting for all our adventures. Because of Melanie, our campers had the perfect place to explore the wonders of nature, journey around the world, investigate bugs, create kindness rocks, dig for dinosaur fossils, and explore the deep sea!

We loved every minute we spent creating, learning, and having fun in her space. We are so grateful for her partnership and support this summer! 💛

And that’s a wrap! 🎬

We ended our summer adventure with Under the Sea camp on Thursday. We had some awesome lessons on ocean zones, coral reefs, and tide pools, complete with a hands-on activity, building our own tide pool and experimenting with what happens when high tide comes. No photos of the kiddos doing that, we were too involved in the lesson! They also enjoyed putting together their own coral reef and researching a sea creature of their choice, followed by a yummy lunch. Oh! We can’t forget the biggest hit - the shark walk! 🦈

We’ve had a wonderful time with the kiddos here at Miss Casey’s Summer Adventure. Stay tuned for a post thanking community partners! They deserve special recognition, as we couldn’t have done it without them…or the amazing parents and kids who participated in our camps! 💛

Canvas & Corks has been transformed! Super excited for our Under the Sea adventure TOMORROW! We’ll learn about the five different ocean zones and the coral reefs, as well as craft our own reef. We’ll discuss high and low tides then campers will help build a tide pool experiment. We have a great selection of books for kids to look at and maybe even use to briefly research a specific sea creature of their choice. And, last but not least, they’ll have to sway like seaweed, walk like a crab, and even balance their way across “shark infested waters” in a little activity we’ve put together! 🦈

You guys!! I was able to borrow some really cool props for this week’s Under the Sea adventure on Thursday! 🪸 I’m excited to get it all set up!

Those pool noodle creations will be perfect for our lesson on coral reefs and the sea creature cut outs will make for awesome photo ops! 🐠🐙🦈
