All week long, the kids competed in both individual and team Survivor challenges to earn points for their grade level. Each grade had one individual champion, and thanks to Ms. Katlyn and Ms. Alex, each winner received their favorite candy bar!

The age group with the most overall points also earned a pizza party next week!

Everyone did an incredible job, and we are so proud of all of them. Here are our Survivor champions:

Kindergarten – Quinn
First Grade – Nolan
Second Grade – Archer
Third Grade – Hayden
Fourth Grade – Mason
Fifth Grade – Avery P.
Sixth Grade – Jackson
Seventh Grade – Molly

Congratulations to our overall age group champions: Fourth and Fifth Grade! They earned a pizza party next week! Fourth Grade also made history by becoming two-time Survivor Champions—winning last year with Ms. Makayla and this year with Ms. Alex! What an accomplishment!

Thank you to everyone who participated, cheered each other on, and made Survivor Week such a success. We had so much fun, and there are plenty more pictures to come!

Week 8 - Circus Week!

Our campers had an amazing time stepping right into the circus this week! Every day was filled with laughter, teamwork, creativity, and plenty of fun.

This week, campers took over the circus by playing Circus Ring Takeover, Animal Act Capture, Tightrope Territory, Trapeze Tag, Clown Traffic Jam, and Ringmaster Dodge. They also put their listening skills to the test during Follow the Ringmaster, stretched with Circus Yoga, enjoyed a lively Circus Party, played Circus Bingo, and wrapped up the week by watching Madagascar 3, which fit perfectly with our circus theme.

Campers showed off their creativity by making Personalized Clown Crafts, Paper Circus Tents, and DIY Circus Confetti Poppers.

During Cooking Club, campers made delicious Carnival Candy Bark. It was a fun recipe to make and an even better treat to enjoy!

On Wednesday, we took a trip to Aikman Wildlife Adventure, where campers loved seeing all of the different animals and spending the day exploring with their friends.

Thank you to all of our campers for another unforgettable week of summer fun! We loved seeing everyone encourage one another, try new things, and make lasting memories. We can't wait to see what adventures next week brings!

I just want to give a quick shout out to the best Summer Camp staff anyone could ask for! It has been the best summer yet! Everyone genuinely gets along and enjoys working together! Camp truly would not be as successful as it is without each and every one of you! I love and appreciate each one of you so very much! 💜

Week 7 – Campers' Choice Spirit Week

This week was so much fun! The campers got to plan the entire week ahead of time by choosing activities they love. Every day had its own fun theme and dress-up day… although we may have forgotten to take photos of everyone's spirit outfits.

Tech Time Monday (Wear your favorite video game shirt or character!) - We kicked off the week with Just Dance and Mario Kart on the big projector. I'll add videos of Just Dance in the comments since Facebook doesn't allow photos and videos in the same post. We also played Computer Virus Tag and Pac-Man Line Tag, which were huge hits! The campers designed their own phone cases and had so much fun pretending to take pictures and call each other once they were finished.

Team-Up Tuesday (Wear your favorite sports team shirt or jersey!) - This day was packed with friendly competition! We played staff vs. kids kickball, Gaga Ball, and plenty of other active games. The campers also created their own sports player crafts. In the afternoon, we headed to the pool park, then cooled off with some delicious Dairy Queen ice cream!

Wacky Wednesday (Wear crazy hair, crazy socks, or mismatched clothes!) - Even though it was Wacky Wednesday, we spent the day enjoying a few camper favorites, including Medic Ball and a coloring contest. We also played our giant Wacky Staff Memory Game, which was a huge hit.

Cozy Camp Thursday (Wear pajamas and bring your favorite stuffed animal!) - The coziest day of the week was filled with Sleeping Monster Tag, a popcorn bar, silly story time, and a movie. It was definitely a favorite for both the campers and the staff!

Feel Good Friday (Wear your favorite sunglasses!) - We wrapped up the week with activities that simply make everyone smile! The campers enjoyed board games, puzzles, a dance party, and musical chairs to finish the week on a high note.

What an amazing week! It's hard to believe we only have three weeks of summer camp left. We're going to soak up every moment we have with these sweet kids and finish the summer with a bang! 🫶🏻

Week 6 - Movie Mania Week

Another week of summer camp is in the books, and this one was full of movie magic, creativity, and lots of fun!

We kicked off the week with some Minion-themed fun! Campers played Mad Gab, created their own Minion goggles, and wrapped up the day with our exciting Minions vs. Villains game and Minion Escape Room. It was so much fun watching everyone work together and use their problem-solving skills!

One of the biggest highlights of the week was our field trip to Savoy 16 to see Toy Story 5! Before heading to the theater, campers enjoyed activities like Andy's Coming, the Claw Experience, and creating their very own Forky craft.

Our dragon-themed day was filled with creativity as campers designed their own dragons and put their teamwork to the test during the Dragon Egg Heist challenge.

Thursday brought everyone into the world of The Super Mario Bros. Movie! Campers raced through our Mario Kart game, completed Mario-themed activities, and made delicious Mario Mushroom Pizza Bagels during Cooking Club.

We wrapped up the week with Finding Nemo activities, including our Just Keep Swimming game, Escape the Tank, and Finding Nemo-themed activities that kept everyone laughing and working together.

Thank you for another amazing week of summer camp! We loved seeing so much creativity, teamwork, and excitement throughout the week.

We have several staff and volunteers off this week for vacation and other prior engagements! We are missing them, but I have to say this group absolutely CRUSHED it today! 5 staff, 2 middle school volunteers and 64 kids on a field trip day. We took the kiddos to the pool park (since nicks park was closed for maintenance) and to DQ! The staff was awesome, the volunteers were awesome and the kids were awesome! I shuttled these kids around for almost 3 hours straight! It was a HOTT one was worth it to see them happy and having a good time!

Thank you staff and volunteers! Truly some of the best!!! 💜

Week 5 – Holidays in July! 🇺🇸🎃🦃🎄🎉**

This week at Y-Zone, we celebrated Holidays in July! Campers had so much fun celebrating some of their favorite holidays all in one week.

Throughout the week, campers disguised turkeys, made turkey headbands, wrapped each other up in our Mummy Wrap Challenge, created New Year's Eve glasses, and designed their own American flags. During Cooking Club, everyone had the chance to decorate festive sugar cookies before ending our Christmas celebration by watching That Christmas together.

We also played plenty of holiday-themed games, including Turkey Tag, Balloon Drop Tag, Santa's Workshop Chaos, Bat Cave Escape, and Red, White, and Boom!

It was a week full of creativity, laughter, and holiday fun—even in the middle of July! ❤️
