Building something youāre proud of isnāt just about what you gain...
Perfectionism.
Done is better than perfect. Waiting until everything is just right means nothing ever gets out the door. Progress over perfection, every single time.
Friendships that werenāt for me.
This one was hard. But who you surround yourself with matters more than people realize. I choose people who lift my name up in rooms Iām not in, and Iāve had to walk away from ones who didnāt. Protect your energy fiercely.
And to the women building something in the same space as me, I am cheering for you. There is enough business to go around. We rise higher when we lift each other up.
Mom guilt.
I still battle this one daily. Answering emails when the kids are home, leaving to shoot content for a few hours... itās not easy. But you are not a bad mom for having something outside of your children that fills your cup. If anything, Iād argue it makes you a better one.
Comparison.
There will always be someone further ahead. Someone with more followers, more clients, more content. Stay in your lane, build your thing, and trust your process.
Building something youāre truly proud of doesnāt come without sacrifice. But every single thing Iāve had to let go of has made room for something better. If youāre in the thick of it right now, keep going. Itās worth it. š©·
