Dyslexia doesn’t end when school gets out, and these Great Minds continued to work through their summer. Now, SUMMER VACATION can officially begin 😎⛱️☀️

“Pebbles”, the rock snake, is back this summer - thanks to the help of this summer’s Great Minds! 🎨🖌️🐍

This summer’s certification was a GREAT opportunity to dig deeper into varied dyslexic profiles and learn strategies that align with specific dyslexic strengths, helping material “stick” more effectively. (If anyone is interested in the course, just message me!)

Dyslexia is a thief!
It steals our time, our self-esteem and quite often, our fun.
When our day is filled with speech therapy, tutoring, extra time spent on homework and many other interventions, it leaves little time for the things we enjoy, like being with our friends, playing, sports, listening to music and just hanging out at home doing nothing.
And I know how incredibly lucky and privileged I am that my family could afford outside intervention, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that learning to read should not become the trade-off for being with our family and friends, doing the things we love or simply having fun.
For many of us, reading cannot only be a financial burden, but an emotional and social one too!
Early identification of reading challenges and intervention is essential in helping us regain ‘time’, because that time is more precious than we will ever know!

Many tutors who go on to become specialists don't start because they feel confident.

They start because they're curious.

Curious about why one learner continues to struggle.
Curious about why one strategy works brilliantly for one child but not another.
Curious about what may be sitting underneath learner difficulty.

The tutors who ask the most questions are often the tutors who continue growing the most.
