We look forward to starting our 8th cohort of SEEsd Rock County this fall. This is a 10 month opportunity to engage in ongoing monthly seminars focused on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Our focus is on how we take what we learn and applying it in our educational settings, but we welcome participation with partners in community organizations who want to engage deeply in this work. Stay Tuned for more information!

What is SEED?

The National SEED Project on Inclusive Curriculum is a peer-led professional development program that promotes change through self-reflection and interpersonal dialogue, and builds capacity for more equitable curriculum, educational environments, and communities.

SEED seminars are facilitated by individuals who have been trained as SEED leaders and members who have participated in SEED in the past. SEED seminars are not set up in a lecture format. Instead, they lead colleagues in experiential, interactive activities and conversations often stimulated by films and readings. The monthly seminars deepen participantsโ€™ understanding of themselves, expand their knowledge of the world, and point the way to making more inclusive systems. In each seminar, SEED participants use their own experiences, systemic thinking and SEED scholarship to deepen school curricula, as well as engage community members in equitable and diverse systems. SEED values our voices so we can, in turn, better value the voices within our community.
