POMS is excited about the return of both Belmont Community Band and Belmont Community Orchestra, by Powers Music School! There's still time to register for the fall 2026 session.

Whether you are a capable musician looking for new opportunities to play locally, a new player just getting started, or a former high school or college musician who has missed the joy of playing together, this is for you!

Thanks to The Belmont Voice for the great article about the upcoming performance of the Chenery chorus at Fenway Park on May 23! POMS was pleased to facilitate ticket purchases so that Chenery families can sit together at this exciting event.

Chenery Upper Elementary School chorus will sing the national anthem at Fenway Park on May 23, bringing Belmont pride to the Red Sox game.

The annual BHS A Ca****la Night takes place a week from today! Mark your calendars for some great performances by the BHS Claypit Crooners and five other high school groups. They'll be joined by the Boston-based R&B/Soul/Pop group Ball in the House, known for their high-energy shows. We hope to see you there!

Don't miss this night of big band funk! The Belmont Public Schools welcomes guest artist the BT ALC Big Band for its annual Jazz Night, featuring jazz ensembles from Belmont High School, Belmont Middle School and Chenery Upper Elementary School.

The BT ALC Big Band employs the traditional big band instrumentation but infuses funk, soul and hip hop. With some of the Boston area's most talented musicians on stage with Belmont's jazz students, this promises to be a special night of musical inspiration for players and audience members alike!
