What a memorable last field trip for the final week of our Lakes Region camps! Our heartfelt thanks to Beans & Greens Farm and volunteers from 'sFund for packing in the fun with a Kangaroo Jumper, inflatable slide, dodgeball, Capture the Flag, co****le, lawn games, petting zoo, Apple Cannons, nature walk/scavenger hunt with prizes, and lunch to beat. This day of community fun showcased the generosity of our community and our shared commitment to investing in our kids 🧡💜💙

The ribbon is cut! We are so excited to be welcoming children and families into the brand new Sara M. Allen Early Learning Center, located in the recently restored Gale School in Belmont. We celebrated with tours and an open house on Old Homes Day, and even got a special visit from Senator Shaheen, who had helped secure funding to restore the historic building for Lakes Region Community Developers. Amanda Carroll from Belmont ELC is our new Site Director and is doing an awesome job making infants and toddlers feel welcome, celebrated, and at home in their new space! Lakes region Boys & Girls Club members had a blast last Wednesday on the kid-friendly version of the Christmas in July Cruise! Kids enjoyed free face painting, games, ice cream, live music and sing-alongs, and a guest appearance from Santa Clause (Boys & Girls Club's infamous St Nick doppelganger, bus driver Mike Grandmont).
