Listen to your heart, not the crowd

It can be easy to look around us and think that we should be doing just as everyone else. Nothing could be further from the truth and we need to stop comparing NOW. When we keep looking to others for the way we should act or the life path we should take it actually veers us off course.

Whatever is defined as “normal” is purely that way because a bunch of random people decided it should be.

What the heck do they know?! They are on the same bus as us trying to figure their s**t out. Anyone who tries to get you to follow their path is doing so because they likely have something to gain from it.

It might be reassurance that they have made the right decisions or because they want to keep you close at bay.

We are meant to run free and enjoy this freedom by exploring what our heart is calling us to do.

We aren’t meant to fit a mold and stay small because it suits others. Take a moment today to notice if you are making decisions based on following the crowd rather than your heart.

Wishing you a wonderful day where you are true to yourself and listen to that internal GPS. ♡

Much love ~ Coach Carla

There is nothing more beautiful than your authentic truth....

Drop the mask. Drop doing and saying what you think others want from you. There is nothing more liberating than being your true self - quirks and all. You can waste so much energy trying to fit the mold and be “normal”. What the heck is “normal” anyways? Isn’t it kind of boring when everyone is thinking the same and doing the same?

Isn’t variety and difference the spice of life? I sure believe so.

You know how powerful and inspiring it is when you are in the presence of someone standing 100% in their truth. I’m sure you’ve been touched by someone who had the courage to be themselves when it was the hardest road to take. Now go and be your version of that courage.

When you are brave enough to be yourself, you inspire others to do the same.

Life is too short to act and pretend. It must be lived in authenticity and truth. You’ll see how much lighter you feel when you become your true self.

When you stop trying to please everyone around you and start offering your unique gifts to the world. Wishing you an incredible day where you trust that your magic resides in your authentic self. ♡

Much Love ~ Coach Carla

Good morning sweet souls.

Let your mantra for today be: I am writing my own story.

You are the author of your life.

You are picking up the pen today and writing a new chapter.

Edit your thoughts ruthlessly.

Be protective of the language you use to describe yourself.

Because to change your life, you must first change your thoughts.

And today you are writing that new chapter of your life, and it's going to be your best one yet.

Step forward into growth or step back into safety. Life is a constant dance between both. We cannot be brave every single moment of every day of our life. We have moments where we need to retreat and others where we must push ahead outside our comfort zone.

The important thing to remember is to have more moments where we step forward into growth. That is how we can create a fulfilling life for ourselves rather than just a safe one. There is nothing wrong with needing safety and we must be responsible in our choices and consider how they impact others but there is a difference in being prudent and letting fear keep us stuck. Using “safety” as an excuse.

Every morning when you wake up you have choices to make on who you want to be in this world and what you will do. Sometimes, you won’t feel like doing anything and when that happens don’t judge yourself. Do remember your goals and your WHY (why you get out of bed, go to work and do all the things you do). Always come back to your WHY when facing decisions whether it’s deciding if you are going to get up early to go to the gym (because you want a healthy body) or perhaps walking away from a relationship that no longer serves you.

Growth of course is demanding. On the short term, it’s easier to stay in bed and not workout but in the long run that decision is taking you further away from what will make you happy and fulfilled. Same goes for staying in a situation that doesn’t suit you. On the surface it might seem like not rocking the boat will keep you safe but if you are living in a non authentic way, knowing that you should be doing otherwise, that has a cost.

Choosing growth can be done one small step at a time. Each little decision you make that allows you to grow and evolve will give you the strength to make another decision (perhaps a bigger one) that will again allow you to grow.

We step into our full potential one decision at a time so don’t underestimate those choices and make them from a place of love and trust instead of fear.

Much Love ~ Coach Carla

The best solution in life transformation comes through transforming WHO YOU ARE (your attitude, expectations and responses), instead of changing your outward circumstances. Your inward transformation will bring about outward change. To begin your transformation, ask yourself:
~ What could I change about ME (my thoughts, my behaviors, my responses) that would change my situation?

Do you often wish your present moment was different than it is? Are you somewhere wishing you were elsewhere? This is very common, but it also causes us stress and makes us feel discontent with our reality. We think that the future will bring us more happiness than the present but the truth is, learning to be in the now brings the greatest joy of all.

The reality is, all we have is Now.

It’s perfectly healthy to have visions and goals, but we must first embrace what we have right here and right now. It can be easy to take the now for granted. To brush off all the blessings we currently have.

There is so much to gain by enjoying being in the present.

You might think that’s a bunch of BS if you are in a difficult situation financially or health wise for example. Sure, there might be challenges to take on in the now but these will make you stronger. This is what shapes us and makes us appreciate the brighter moments of our life.

Struggling to resist the now brings nothing but suffering.

We can learn to be at peace with it and take action to move forward from a place of acceptance. It was during the most difficult period of my life that I learned to be happy in the present. Sounds crazy that right in the middle of a lot of anguish I was able to find joy on a daily basis.

Once I learned to step away from my critical mind that was trying to drag me in the past or obsess about the future, I found peace. To this day I am grateful for that challenging time as it gave me the greatest gift of all. Being where it truly matters: in the Now.

“I AM wealthy, poor, healthy, sick, free, confined... were first of all impressions or conditions felt before they became visible expressions. Your world is your consciousness objectified. Waste no time trying to change the outside; change the within or the impression; and the without or expression will take care of itself. When the truth of this statement dawns upon you, you will know that you have found the lost word or the key to every door. I AM (your consciousness) is the magical lost word which was made flesh in the likeness of that which you are conscious of being.”

Get on the road to happiness via gratitude. When you wake up in the morning, let your first thoughts go towards what you are thankful for: a warm bed, safe home, good night’s sleep, healthy body, the people you love, the opportunity to do what you love, the freedom to do what you choose…. The list goes on and on with all the blessings that you enjoy.

I find that lying in bed after awakening and taking in all these gifts is like sitting in the bright morning’s sunlight and letting it fill you with positive energy. It literally feeds your soul. It puts your focus in the right frame of mind and will set a good mood to start your day positively. Practicing gratitude is one of the greatest gifts we can offer ourselves.

The more we focus on gratitude, the more we can let go of life’s little problems. It really helps to put the daily dramas and the challenges in perspective. When you are in a difficult moment, take a gratitude break. Recenter those worry thoughts towards all that you feel blessed to have. You will feel the anxiety in your body reduce immediately.

Living a fulfilling life doesn’t happen by chance. We must Choose our mindset and develop practices that put us in a good place. The more grateful we are, the more positive our energy and we all know that positive attracts more positive and negative usually attracts more negative. The decision is up to you every day. Every morning when you wake up, you can choose to go through that endless to-do list, or you can go through a list that will make you feel like a million bucks. Happiness really is up to you and to walk its path gratitude is a necessary guide.

Sacred Space: Manifesting, Embracing, And Sustaining It

What is Sacred Space?

Wherever the physical and energetic meet, that is Sacred Space.

Where the Body, Mind and Spirit become one and balanced with Grace and Ease, that is Sacred Space.

This Sacred Space then becomes a safe haven, a place where we can explore ourselves with deeper self-discovery practices.

Where we can connect to Divinity and embrace our inner spark.

This Sacred Space can be anything from a small space in our home, to a clearing in a forest or a spot by the sea, to even as small as the pauses in between the breaths we take.

Sacred Space can exists anywhere, it’s about infusing that space with our essence and inviting in the Sacred.

Spaces like the forest, by the ocean or even in a park under a tree are wonderful places to connect with the Sacred and explore our inner depths.

But one can create a Sacred Space within the home as well.

It can be as simple as bringing some nature inside by way of fresh flowers and treasures collected such as shells, feathers, crystals and stones, the possibilities are endless.

Or as elaborate as creating and decorating an Altar, then placing these objects upon it.

We can adorn the Altar with a beautiful cloth and place other sacred objects like statues and photographs on it.

This space is then infused with objects sacred to us, infused with our energy.

A little about Altars.....

Although Altars in the home are not common in Western Countries, it does provide us with a focal point, a central place within our Sacred Space to sit in silence and connect.

There is no right or wrong way to create one.

It is though, more than just a thing to look at or a beautiful setting within the home, it‘s a visual reminder, graced with objects that are Sacred to us.

Our Sacred Space Altar is a place where we go to sit in silence, go within and connect, allowing ourselves to tune in and listen to our inner guidance, a place to meditate, journal and do other sacred work.

Maintaining Sacred Space....

Clearing and cleansing the energy within our Sacred Space is important for maintaining its sacredness.

Infusing the space with our intention, as well as, releasing and grounding any negative energy we let go of during our practice there is important.

This can be accomplished by using the elements available to us.

Use Sacred Sound, like a Tibetan Bell and Dorje, chimes, crystal singing bowls, drumming, even our voices like in chanting, singing, humming and in prayer or simply playing inspiring music.

Use Fire and Smoke, by smudging with herbs like sage, lavender, cedar, sweet-grass, burning incense or color candles.

And of course use Water, like in clearing sprays, full Moon water, and diffusing Essential Oils.

All of these are simple and accessible ways to shift the energy and create intention in our Sacred Space.

Sacred Space and Time....

For us to experience the gifts of Sacred Space we must create time to be in our Sacred Space…even if it’s a meditative walk in the park, or to sit in silence, engage in prayer or meditation, but most importantly…to just listen.

As we become in-tune to our Higher-self, our Spirit Guides and/or Divinity…we become uplifted, our vibration shifts and we create a union of Mind, Body and Spirit allowing us to experience life fully.

Spending 10 minutes a day in our Sacred Space, especially upon awakening, to connect to our Higher-self and align ourselves with that positive flow of energy that’s available to all of us; can make a huge difference on how we move throughout the rest of the day.

It can help us live life from a place of Grace and Ease no matter what that day may bring.

You’re a masterpiece, and a work in progress. A powerful message and beautiful reminder to start our day. We are such incredible beings and yet we can be really hard on ourselves sometimes. Why not focus on what is truly magnificent about us rather than on what we think we need to fix?

Sure, working on ourselves and wanting to grow is perfectly healthy, but we must do it from a place of deep self-love and acceptance. We must know that we are perfectly imperfect and embrace what makes us who we are.

We have so many precious gifts to bring into this world and when we focus on our perceived weaknesses, we block those gifts from coming forth. Go within, dive into your true self, beyond your ego mind that tells you you aren’t good enough. Know that those thoughts aren’t who you are. You are so much more than your mind.

You are a soul here to live life fully and only when you start being kind to yourself will you truly start living the joy you are meant to feel. You are a masterpiece and a work in progress just like everyone else. You are unique and connected to others all at once. Embrace your beauty and the journey you are on to becoming wiser and more aware everyday.

We may not always be aware of it, but we all create and repeat affirmations constantly.
The problem is, we typically don't pay attention
to exactly what those affirmations are saying.
Often we go through the day giving ourselves
all sorts of contradictory, or even negative messages.
We may project confidence to the world around us,
while our inner dialogue says...
I hope this works.
I am so nervous about this.
I hope I don't blow it.
Affirmations are self fulfilling prophecies.
If we say, 'This is never going to work'
.. then chances are excellent it never will.
