This course is led by 𝗝𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗝. 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗸𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆, 𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗦𝗪, who has provided training on co-occurring disorders - and the integration of treatment for psychosis & substance use - through the University of Washington Dept of Psychiatry for over a decade.

With nearly two decades of experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders across a range of settings - including his private practice, SOUND Life Recovery, as well as larger agencies and organizations - Jeff brings deep, real-world perspective to this work.

For years, Integrated Recovery Principles for Co-occurring Disorders has been offered as a live training to clinicians and organizations seeking practical, integrated, recovery-oriented approaches. We're happy to finally offer it on-demand.

Many traditional treatment models separate psychosis and substance use, leaving clinicians feeling uncertain and clients receiving disjointed care. We believe in a more integrated approach - one that aligns with current research and real-world practice to create better outcomes for both professionals and the people they serve.

Through on-demand courses, live trainings, supervision & consultation services, we provide a clear path forward that helps clinicians build clinical confidence, apply practical, evidence-based techniques in real-world settings, and work with greater clarity and effectiveness while reducing burnout. We recognize that mental health professionals enter this field because they want to provide meaningful care, but without the right tools, the work can feel overwhelming. Jeffery Roskelley, LICSW, is a licensed clinical social worker committed to advancing mental health care, specializing in the treatment of co-occurring disorders. As a founder of both SOUND Life Recovery & SOUND Life Learning in Bellingham, Washington, Jeffery has leveraged his many years of experience to train thousands of clinicians through both his private practice and his collaboration with the University of Washington's SPIRIT Lab.

Jeffery's clinical approach is deeply rooted in evidence-based practices, specializing in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp). His commitment to excellence led him to train under esteemed experts Dr. Jennifer Gottlieb and Dr. Cori Cather, leaders in the CBTp practice & education from the Harvard Medical School.

In his role at the University of Washington's SPIRIT Lab, Jeffery has been instrumental in disseminating both CBTp and IDDT (Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment) practices across Washington State, enhancing the competencies of mental health professionals in addressing complex cases involving serious mental illnesses and substance use disorders. His integrated treatment methodologies have been pivotal in improving patient outcomes, challenging traditional paradigms that often treat these issues in isolation.

Outside of work, Jeff is committed to incorporating many of these same therapeutic tools to benefit his own personal well being. A dedicated tai chi enthusiast, he finds balance and mindfulness through this practice, principles he integrates into his therapeutic work. This holistic approach not only enriches his life but also fosters a therapeutic environment that promotes both mental and physical well-being bringing benefit to those he mentors and treats.
