We are an independent 6-12 school providing life-changing, meaningful experiential education in Bellingham, Washington.

We are committed to providing a progressive, experiential middle and high school education that teaches students social responsibility, environmental stewardship and global awareness through thematic learning clusters, local and international service projects, and outward bound field excursions. Explorations Academy is currently accepting applications for new membership on our Board of Directors. We are seeking individuals with interest in experiential learning and outdoor leadership to help steer, grow, and strengthen our amazing school. That includes educators, alums, parents of alums, outdoor enthusiasts, networkers, financial experts, community movers and shakers, people persons, and more. With we learned 6 new techniques for natural and alternative building! We diverted materials from the waste stream and made use of the abundant resources of the area. This greenhouse will be used to grow native plants for local restoration projects in Arizona's Sky Islands. What will you build?

We finished our build with and they sent us off road tripping into some truly beautiful country! Thanks to Southern Arizona and Sheila the Van for these priceless memories.

Having a blast ! We're working hard in the mornings and having adventures in the afternoons. Tomorrow is our last big workday on the greenhouse project, so stay tuned for our final reveal! Thanks to all those who supported this trip and helped make it a reality.

Join us for Explorations Academy’s 3rd Annual Fall Harvest Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser — a community celebration of flavor, fun, and fall!
