Cubasere

Cubasere Cuban Dance Instruction Cuban born and raised, Yasmare Gonzalez Pi, is a dancer who moved to Bellingham, Washington in 2013 from Havana, Cuba.

With Cuba’s culture so deeply rooted in music, and dance everywhere one turns, its no surprise that Yasmare was drawn at an early age to the rhythms around him and started dancing at the age of 16. He began learning in the streets and was soon discovered and taken under the wings of some of the most respected dancers in Havana with whom he learned such dance styles as Salsa Casino, Son, Rumba, Cha

Cha Cha, and Rueda. He soon started dancing professionally with various groups in Cuba including Ache Caribeño and participated as an assistant instructor in several editions of Cuba’s most renowned dance event, Baile en Cuba. In 2011 he co-founded his own dance group in Havana, Pasion Latina. Up until the time he moved to the U.S., he worked with CNSEA (Centro Nacional d’ Superacion Para La Enseñanza Artistica Ministerio de Cultura) giving dance instruction of popular Cuban dance.
