Intrinsic Flow Mountain Biking

Intrinsic Flow Mountain Biking Intrinsic Flow is a mountain bike instruction and guiding company in Bellingham, Washington started by trail builder and rider, Mike Storm. I can help. -Mike

I have a great empathy for riders longing to improve but struggling with fear of injury. The learning curve for MTB is pretty steep. I can save you unnecessary pain that comes from learning to ride by trial and error. Whether you are learning to jump your bike or just learning to ride trail for the first time, I'm your guy.

Earlier this month we had our last week of for the summer. The idea this year was to work on progressing the kid’s skills as always, but to add a new dimension to the experience. This week that new dimension was getting professional pics done of the kids riding on the last day of camp!

We made lots of progress and had lots of fun the rest of the week. Pictures are coming, but here’s a short edit to give you a taste of what we worked on.

Thanks for coming out to shoot, Spencer!

Got a kid age 10 to 14 that’s into riding jumps and doing tricks? Fall session is coming next month. Check the website for more info.

You know that jump at the end of the Cedar Dust Black Jump Line that almost everyone goes around? Well, you don’t have to. You just need to line it up!

Here we give you some tips to make it easier even in the bone dry loose conditions that we have now.

Got a feature (jump, drop, roll or whatever) on a local B’ham trail eating your soul? Let us know in the comments. I would love to help.

Also, we do lessons and clinics throughout the spring, summer and fall. We would love to go deeper than we can here. Check the website for dates and details.

Week 2 of YFG is done. We’ve had the return of some of our rad friends and some new (and young) arrivals bringing new energy to the program. Here’s a small taste of some of the skills that we worked on from the viewpoint of me coaching. Please forgive the audio outbursts. I tend to get excited. 😳😂

In Week 2, we got a chance to film with videographer and drone stunt pilot Nathan Harris. I’ve had a chance to see some of what we took last week and I’m super excited to show it off! Expect a small amount here in the next few weeks with most of it getting used for an upcoming Shoot the Trails edit. Thanks again Nathan for bringing your patience and skill as we add this new layer to the mix!

Next week will be our last week this summer. We’ll be shooting for the camera again. This time it will be photography with Spencer Pras!

We still have a few spots left. If you have a young shredder age 10 to 14 who’s looking to show their skills amd learn new ones, sign ‘em up!

First official week (orientation/Social Media) of Youth Freeride Guild is done! It was great to welcome new kids to the program. So fun working with these kids on jump technique, style and introducing them to sole new jumps including some hips. Awesome work Gavin, Odin, Ellis and Isaac!

Kudos to Gavin and Odin for sending the first 3 jumps on Grasshopper. Props to Isaac for hitting the jumping HARD this week with maximum dedication and focus. And finally, nice work Ellis with facing fears and sending the first jumps 2 on GH after having a crash in the spring. I’m incredibly proud of all you guys and I hope you continue with the program. 👊👊👊👊

Monday this coming week starts Week 2 of YFG focusing on riding for video with with local videographer and drone wizard Nathan Harris. To say I’m excited is a massive understatement! I’m excited for the kids. I’m excited to see Nathan work and I’m super pumped to coach the kids through it! 😱😆😃

Thanks to all the parents who believe in what were doing here. It is not taken for granted.

A rare moment to get out with friends for a ride last night. It’s been a bit since I’ve been down Orient Express. It held up well to the race last week. It was riding fast and fun. I’m loving the rock jump at the end. Dat you Andy Grant ?

Thanks for the company and the tow Freya | Bellingham MTB and Spencer Pras!

Figuring out new trail takes time and patience. I want to make that process a bit easier. Here’s another abbreviated how-to to take some of the guess work out.

Should I do the rest of the trail? Let me know in the comments. Does this help? Let me know that too.

Great running into you, Mike!
