55+ and looking for an online painting class this summer? Check out Landscapes in Acrylics
This live online art course takes inspiration from seasonal landscapes – a perfect way to appreciate the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. With step-by-step instructions and lots of exercises, you will learn the basics of acrylic painting, basic composition, color mixing, blending, as well as "wet in wet" and working in layers. Through demonstrations and individual guidance, you will work on your own piece at your own pace.

With recent rhetoric about a "51st state", what do you know about Canada, the amazing country to the north of us? This course will cover the history of British Columbia, placing it within the larger framework of Pacific Northwest history. Students will examine and compare U.S. and Canadian political structures and policies. It will also highlight cultural differences, including First Nations histories and perspectives. Learn about regional heroes, must-see natural wonders, historical landmarks, and unique culinary delights. There will be ample opportunities to share collective expertise and to engage in individual scholarship about all things Canadian.

Discover Bellevue College Community Education’s new TELOS Lifelong Learners 55+ Gentle Movement and Meditation for Healthy Aging class.

Over eight Tuesday afternoons, you’ll explore Qigong, a 5,000-year-old practice that blends gentle movement, breathing, and meditation. Designed to reduce stress, improve balance, and deepen your connection with the natural world, this class welcomes all levels and encourages you to move at your own pace.

This in-person movement class can be practiced standing, seated in a chair, or on a cushion. Qigong requires no special equipment or prior experience, just a willingness to tune into your body and its potential.
