He is getting really good from our chest up position….

He will need to continue to get his mobility better so he can get more separation in his other throws. When he does that the dude is going to really huck it!

The answer is yes. This is a beginner drill to feel back leg drive.

A good back leg is the best arm care that exists.

Do this to put less stress on your arm and throw at a higher velocity.

So wait…

Less stress on arm AND more velocity?

Yeah, I’d take that all day.

Why ignore the data? Only building external rotation in the arm is an issue, because this is not the end all be all in velocity.

Major ALERT 🚨

Poor hip rotation will lead to over rotation of the trunk, thus putting much more strain on the arm.

What is our conclusion?

If a player has weak mobility, poor strength, or overall little understanding how to create power from the legs he is putting himself in a place of more arm strain, less velocity.

Independent study shows that increased Hip Shoulder separation from the lower half results in pitching velocity increase!

Hip shoulder separation is key, and although most people know this not everyone knows how to teach it.. ALSO! Some athletes literally couldn’t separate if they wanted to due to poor mobility.

Fortunately, we have the mobility exercises you need to be able to get better hip shoulder separation!

Brent really dives deep to show you how to avoid certain injuries in the elbow just by basic throwing drills that coaches have players do.

Please be wise to your sons/daughters throwing from the time they start playing all the way until the end. The poor mechanics that they use at a younger age , if not adjusted can result in long term problems caused by injury.

We wish it wasn’t the case!

The good news is the science tells us what we need to do in order to eliminate the possibility of injury, and how the kinetic chain can enhance velocity while also reducing the risk of injury!
