To close out September, our member of the month is ✨Kelson Decker✨. He is a great leader for the Bellevue FFA chapter who is always willing to step up and help out wherever he’s needed. He pitches in on key tasks like helping with our Lions Club flag route and always shows up for community projects, including highway cleanup, Give Day, Feed the Farmers, and attending the Farm Progress Show. Kelson also stays super busy with contests and chapter business—he competed in the Conduct of Meetings LDE, made the State Biotech team, and served as a State Voting Delegate for Iowa FFA. Because of his hard work and commitment to our chapter, Kelson Decker is very deserving of being our Bellevue FFA Member of the Month!

🌱 Soil Judging Practice! 🌱

Today, our Plant & Soil Science class got some hands-on soil judging practice as students evaluated three soil pits with instruction and guidance from Jason Steel, NRCS Soil Scientist, and Jana Eberhart, IDALS/Clinton SWCD.

A huge thank you to Meier Construction for digging the soil pits bright and early this morning, and to Jeff Gerlach for allowing us to utilize his property for this learning experience!

Our students are putting in the work and preparing for the district soil judging contest coming up in just a few weeks! 🌱📝

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave souls, the courageous first responders, and the innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001. We will never forget their strength, sacrifice, and the unity that brought us together in our darkest hours. 🕊️❤️
