Eid Bilingual Story Time

We had such a joyful time celebrating Eid at the last weekend!

Our bilingual story time brought stories to life in both Hindi/Urdu and English, creating a beautiful space for children to connect with language, culture, and tradition. Through stories, rhymes and shared moments, families experienced the spirit of Eid and the children loved our Eid Goodie Bags!

Thank you to all the families who joined us and made it so special ! Thanks to our community partner for making your space accessible to a diverse community and being open to inviting celebrations to celebrate diversity and community!

In a world that can sometimes feel uncertain, there is something truly special about the simple joy of gathering together for a story to celebrate and recognize the Holi Festival of colors .

Our Holi Story Time at with County Library System was a beautiful reminder of that joy. Children and families came together to listen, laugh, create, and celebrate the colors of Holi. Sometimes the simplest moments,reading a story, sharing Holi sweets, making crafts, and playing with color,create the most meaningful connections.

We loved reading Happy Hippotastic Holi by Biharn, which brought so much excitement and giggles to the room. The craft activities from the book’s craft packet were a wonderful addition and a big hit with the kids. Highly recommend it for introducing children to the magic of Holi.

Grateful for these moments of community, culture, and storytelling.

Wishing Eid Al Adha Mubarak to everyone celebrating

It was a pleasure to be invited to give a professional talk on the eve of Eid Al Adha for the Iman Professional Network on the topic of balancing Entrepreneurship, Parenthood and a career in finance.

Sharing about the foundation of Hind Time Kids and most importantly making community connections.

Eid Al Adha is a Muslim festival celebrated across the globe and by many South Asian Muslims too. This Eid reminds of the values of sacrifice, gratitude, and compassion.

✅Knowledge of Hindi/Urdu (spoken/comprehension) is a plus

📣Opportunity 1: Teaching Assistant - Hindi Language Summer Camp
Dates: July 14 - 18, 2025
Time: 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Location: Montessori School in Bellevue, WA
Ages: Preschoolers (4-6 years)
Role: Classroom Assistant Intern
Responsibilities:
✅Supervise children at the crafts table
✅Help maintain classroom order during lessons

📣Opportunity 2: Event Assistant - South Asian Cultural Programs at Bellevue Parks
Dates: TBD (Fridays/ Saturdays)
Time: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Location: Outdoor parks in Bellevue, WA
Roles: Social media, direct marketing, event logistics and audience engagement during community programs
Responsibilities:
✅Assist with event setup and cleanup
✅Guide children during crafts and storytelling sessions
✅Support audience engagement at the event
✅Promote upcoming events through online and local outreach
