Summer is a great time for students to strengthen their math skills, review important concepts, and get ready for the next academic year with more confidence.

Our summer classes are designed to keep students engaged, challenged, and learning in a supportive environment.

We are excited to welcome our students for another productive and fun summer at RSM Factoria!

Dear RSM Factoria Families,

Please note that RSM Factoria will be closed from Saturday, May 23rd through Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day Break.

Classes will resume as scheduled after the break.

We wish all our families a safe and restful long weekend! 🇺🇸

We are pleased to share that 84 RSM students qualified for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME), a prestigious competition for students who performed strongly on the AMC 10 and/or AMC 12. Additionally, seven RSM students qualified for the USAMO/USAJMO!
We are proud of our students and their continued dedication to mathematics.

Teacher Appreciation Week at RSM Factoria 💛

This week, our students had a wonderful opportunity to show gratitude to the teachers and staff who support, encourage, and inspire them every day.

The children wrote kind notes, shared sweet messages, and placed them into colorful envelopes for their teachers. It was so heartwarming to see their excitement, smiles, and thoughtful words of appreciation.

A big thank you to all of our amazing RSM Factoria teachers and staff for your dedication, patience, and care. You help our students grow not only in math, but also in confidence, curiosity, and love for learning.

Our RSM Factoria students recently participated in the Purple Comet Math Meet! 💜

This international team-based math competition challenged students to think creatively, work collaboratively, and solve complex problems under time pressure.

We are so proud of our students for their focus, teamwork, and perseverance throughout the competition. It was wonderful to see them discussing strategies, sharing ideas, and supporting one another as they tackled challenging mathematical problems together.

Great job to all of our Purple Comet participants! Your hard work, curiosity, and love for problem-solving truly shined.

What a great day at the Sunset Elementary STEAM Fair!

Our RSM Factoria table was full of curious minds, busy hands, and lots of problem-solving energy. Students explored patterns, puzzles, visual thinking, and hands-on math activities — and we loved watching them try new strategies and light up when they found a solution.

Thank you to Sunset Elementary for welcoming us and creating such a fun learning event for the community. We were happy to be part of it!

✨ RSM Factoria at the Puesta del Sol Elementary STEM Fair!

We were excited to participate in the STEM Fair at Puesta del Sol Elementary and share the joy of mathematical thinking with students and families.
At our RSM Factoria table, students explored fun, hands-on math challenges, solved logic puzzles, worked through visual reasoning problems, and practiced creative problem-solving. It was wonderful to see children stay curious, try different strategies, explain their thinking, and celebrate those “I got it!” moments.

Events like this remind us that math is not just about numbers — it is about confidence, persistence, curiosity, and learning how to think.
A big thank-you to Puesta del Sol Elementary for hosting such a wonderful STEM event, and to all the families and students who stopped by our table. We loved meeting you and sharing the RSM approach to building powerful minds through mathematics!

🌎 Happy Earth Day!

This week at RSM Factoria, we celebrated Earth Day with meaningful discussions between teachers and students about how we can protect our planet.

Together, we explored how math helps us understand real-world environmental challenges — from saving water to planting trees and learning about renewable energy.

We learned some fascinating facts:

• If a faucet drips and wastes 10 drops of water every minute, that adds up to 600 drops of wasted water in just 1 hour!

• If a group of children plants 5 trees every Earth Day for 4 Earth Days, they will have planted 20 trees in total!

• Renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power continue to grow. In 2020, renewable energy accounted for 21% of total electricity generation in the United States.

• According to the World Health Organization, approximately 785,000,000 people lack access to basic drinking water services, reminding us how important clean and safe water is for everyone.

It was inspiring to see how students used math to connect small everyday actions with big global impact.

Let’s keep learning, caring, and working together to protect our beautiful Earth — today, tomorrow, and every day! Every small step matters!

We had an amazing time at the WSMA Math Fair! 🎉

The RSM Factoria booth was full of energy, curiosity, and excitement. Students had a great time stopping by to solve fun puzzles and challenging math problems—and their enthusiasm was incredible!

It was truly inspiring to see so many young learners engaged, thinking creatively, and enjoying math together. Events like this show how exciting and interactive math can be.
