’Twas the night before Career Day at Bellefonte Elementary bright,
Not a backpack was packed without dreams tucked in tight.
The posters were hung in the hallways with care,
In hopes that big futures soon would be there.

The students were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of careers danced in their heads—
Of dentists with smiles so shiny and wide,
And police officers keeping the town safe with pride.

There were stylists with scissors and colors so bold,
Turning ideas into styles more dazzling than gold.
Attorneys in courtrooms, thoughtful and wise,
Speaking for justice with confident eyes.

Athletic trainers, taping ankles just right,
Helping teams stay strong for the big game night.
Professors with knowledge they’re eager to share,
Inspiring young minds with passion and care.

And bankers who balance and plan for the day,
Helping money grow in a thoughtful way.
Each role so important, each path so unique,
A future for every dream they might seek.

When out in the hallway there arose such a cheer,
’Twas excitement and joy—Career Day was here!
So off to the school they flew in a dash,
With curiosity, questions, and notebooks to stash.

And I heard them exclaim as they walked through the door,
“There’s so much to learn—I can’t wait to explore!”
