Sad to say our classmate Barbara Tottka Kemp, Class of 1966, passed away Tuesday August 12. We were fortunate to see her this past reunion dinner and get a group picture taken

🎉The board as a whole has spent the last two years planning for the event daily! Between monthly board meetings, committee meetings, and individuals working behind the scenes throughout the last two years, the board was able to make this event a success!! 🎉

The board of trustees understands that the BHS alumni and community would like to see this happen again! While we cannot give you an exact explanation of what it may look like in the future, planning and conversations are underway!❤️🖤

We’re at a loss for words… ❤️

When we started planning this event, we weren’t sure what to expect. We were nervous, excited, and hopeful that our vision would come to life. Thanks to all of you—it did. And it exceeded anything we could have ever imagined.🥺

The support we saw and felt yesterday was unbelievable. We know the heat was no joke 🥵, but you showed up, you stayed, and you made the day unforgettable. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU—to every person who attended, to those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, and to the countless individuals/businesses who helped make this dream a reality. THANK YOU for supporting the hometown businesses and our guests that came with their trucks/stands full of food.

Bellaire was booming yesterday —with love, laughter, and the kind of energy that can only come from our amazing community. Your kind words, smiles, and gratitude meant everything to us. It truly felt like all of our hard work had paid off.

We hope to do something similar again soon… but we promise it’ll be during a much cooler time of the year 🥵☀️

We hope everyone had a great memorable day in our town we call home❤️
