Rathvinden started as a dream to create a place of refuge and healing for homeless domesticated animals. The aim was to provide a healthy and comfortable environment, socialization, and if needed, rehabilitation, to prepare animals for permanent adoption with new families. Years later, inspired by the young people who have brought their ideas and enthusiasm to the project, the vision has expanded
to include an organic flower farm and educational center. Rathvinden Farm is located on a fifty-acre site in the Gallatin Valley of Montana. It's goal is to promote animal rescue and welfare, organic and integrative agriculture practices, art, sustainability, and education. Rathvinden hosts a variety of educational opportunities to the surrounding communities with an emphasis on land stewardship, self-reliance, agriculture, creativity, and sustainability. We are excited to be part of a growing network of permaculture sites across Montana and the US that are working together to exchange information, share resources, and support each other's dreams and efforts.
