At our last meeting, Ann Murphy Davidson, from Certified Title shared a lot of valuable information related to the important roles that the title industry plays in our lives. They are the folks who actually get us to our real estate closings making sure all the legal requirements for your local, county and state needs are met, coordinating the payment process and confirming a good and safe property transfer. When you're making an important long-term property investment, don't leave your title agent to chance or your realtor's recommendation. Do your homework, make sure the firm AND your agent have great ratings and qualifications. The title agent is ALWAYS the buyer's choice.
btw, you might also want to check your own home's SDAT status to make sure you are getting the Homestead Credit. Several of us weren't!
