People have spoken! 🙏
Thank you to all the voters, my supporters, my campaign team, and especially my family for standing with me. I am deeply honored and incredibly grateful to be elected on the Beaverton School Board. Your trust means everything to me, and I am committed to serving with integrity, purpose, and heart - centering on our students.
Like you, I envision a school system where every student has the opportunity and support to succeed. This belief is rooted in my 30-year career in public education, from working as a classroom assistant, teacher, principals to serving as an interim assistant superintendent. It is also grounded in my own journey—as a refugee who came to the United States and found hope and opportunity through public schools.
Throughout this campaign, I visited all 56 school campuses in Beaverton—on weekends—walking neighborhoods, standing outside school buildings, and listening to the heartbeats of each community. I witnessed both the vibrancy and disparities across our district. Every student deserves a safe, welcoming, and equitably supported environment.
As your board director, I will lead with transparency, mutual respect, and open communication. I look forward to building strong relationships with my fellow board members, district staff, students, families, and community partners. We’re at a critical crossroads in our district, and I believe we can meet this moment with courage, clarity, and collaboration.
Let’s stay focused on what matters most:
Improving early literacy so every child can read by third grade.
Expanding multilingual programs.
Strengthening Career & Technical Education to ensure all students are prepared for life after graduation.
Supporting mental health programs for students and staff.
I want to especially thank the many parents, educators, students, community leaders, and organizations who supported me throughout this journey. Your encouragement and belief in what we can achieve together meant the world to me.
The work ahead will be challenging but I am ready. Let’s move forward—together.
