Hope it’s okay to keep posting this painting; I’m just so proud of it.

This painting is for those who unfortunately know the struggle of mental and/or chronic illness, and have been lucky enough to have a friend/partner/spouse/family member choose them- again and again. For those days when you feel like a “waste of a human” (as I’ve described myself many times to my supportive, incredible husband) and a reminder that those support systems knocked anyway, knowing the shame, guilt, trauma and storm that lies behind, because they care and think we’re worth it. They saw the water on the floor, heard the crashing waves, and opened anyway.

I painted “Doors” by and will post a Reel with the full breakdown of the tremendous amount of symbolism (some related to the song, some related solely to my life.)

You are not a waste of space. You may have been dealt a sh*tty hand…
You may not have gotten to choose the foundation or walls in which your life was built…
Your life matters just the same.
You are here for a reason.

Today marks another package off to New York for another show (coming out on Hulu!)

I started taping copies of the consent forms to a wall in my studio so I never forget this feeling ❤️

It’s official and I can finally share 📺

8 paintings of mine will be seen in the main character’s home of this new Hulu show! (They begin filming in a few weeks so no premiere date just yet.)

Slow progress on this surrealist painting but progress nonetheless 🌊 By far the most challenging yet. Once this layer dries, I’ll add more shadow behind the leaves, then the tiny Peggy Martin roses then I *think* she’ll be finished.
