Freddie Meyer 88, a native of Beaufort, South Carolina, husband of Ida Meyer, died Friday, June 20, 2025, at his residence in
Brooklyn, New York.

He was the son of the late Bampfield W. and Jannie Legare Meyer and the great-great-grandson of the late General Robert Smalls.

Thank you for showing up in large numbers at the last School Board meeting. You we're awesome with your needed comments. Now we are being challenged to show up again to reinforce what we said and what we want done. If you can, we need you tomorrow in large numbers. Pass the word. Hello Friends,
The Beaufort County Board of Education has a meeting scheduled for tomorrow March 1, 2022 at 6pm at 2900 Mink Point Blvd. One of their topics for discussion will be the changing of the school colors and mascot which would void the original agreement between the three local High Schools in 1968. We will need strength in numbers to convince the Board to honor the original agreement. Hope to see you there!
