Beaufort High School Sea Island Sound

Dear Beaufort County School District Families-

After consultation with Emergency Management regarding forecasted wind gusts of 75mph that prohibit the safe travel of school buses, BCSD will have an eLearning and remote workday tomorrow (Monday, 3/16/26). District buildings will be closed. All extracurricular activities tomorrow are cancelled. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, 3/17/26.

Your child’s teacher and/or school will provide additional information about eLearning. Students will have five days to complete their e-learning assignments.

Please know BCSD doesn’t make these decisions lightly. We have many factors to consider especially inclement weather that prohibits the safe travel of school buses.

The South Carolina State University Marching 101 will perform on the national stage during Super Bowl week in San Francisco. The performance is a part of a primetime television special. The show’s theme is “Go Higher.”
