Last night, we celebrated our 12 graduates. We laughed, we cried, and we reflected on the past 6 weeks. I am so proud of their resilience and determination. They got throught the six-week class and now they don't have to worry about paying for trade school! We are thankful for the continuous support from our community! We cannot do this without our community! Thank you to Mayor Robert Nelson, the new assistant superintendent for BCISD Richard Halle, Loy and Helen Sneary(Sneary Cattle), John Woosley(WCJC).

Partnerships create possibilities.
Today, we were excited to welcome Wharton County Junior College (WCJC) to Kainos Academy! Their team met with our students to share the many educational and career pathways available through the college, giving them a clearer picture of what comes next after graduation from our program.
We're especially grateful for our partnership with WCJC, which allows Kainos Academy students to pursue high-quality trade training through an institution that is deeply invested in developing our local workforce. Together, we're helping remove barriers and create real opportunities for young adults to step confidently into meaningful careers.
From welding and HVAC to automotive technology, information technology, cosmetology, medical careers, carpentry, and more, our students are discovering that their goals are within reach, and they don't have to pursue them alone.
A huge thank you to the WCJC team for spending time with our students, answering questions, and encouraging them to dream bigger. We can't wait to see where this partnership leads and the lives that will be changed because of it.
This is what Kainos Academy is all about! Bringing together education, community, and opportunity to help young adults build brighter futures.
New Beginnings. Endless Opportunities.

What a night!
Two things made last night successful. Our students and our community.
Thank you to our students (past and present), their families, former Kainos students, community leaders, supporters, and friends. Your presence meant so much to us.
Over the past few weeks, our students have been doing the hard work. They've explored self-awareness, forgiveness, mental health, stress management, healthy habits, and communication. More importantly, they've been growing in confidence, building relationships, and discovering that their past doesn't define their future.
One of the highlights of the evening was hearing several of our students share their stories. Watching them stand in front of a room full of people and speak with honesty and courage was a reminder of why Kainos Academy exists in the first place.
These young adults have incredible potential, and tonight they were surrounded by a community that believes in them.
A special thank you to everyone who continues to support our mission. Whether you volunteer your time, encourage our students, partner with us, or choose to sponsor a student, you are helping create opportunities that will impact lives for years to come.
We're only halfway through this six-week journey, and I already can't wait to see what these students accomplish next.
Here's to new beginnings and endless opportunities. π§‘π
Also, a special shoutout to The Venue on M for allowing us to rent this beautiful space and Jessica Jimenez for the decor! It came together beautifully!

Good morning Matagorda County! This week kicks off week 3 of Kainos Academy!
We will be focusing on our Physical Health and Success. I am so excited to have our guest speaker on Tuesday and our students are going to learn so much from Mrs. Amber Carrillo!
When I was putting together this curriculum, I knew there was no one better than Amber to speak on building healthy habits when it came to fitness.
There's a possibility I may be more excited than anyone else to learn her secrets.
If you or someone you know could benefit from Kainos Academy, like and share our posts. It could be the thing that changes someone's life.
Kainos Academy
Young adults ages 18-24 with high school diploma or GED who are ready to commit to six-weeks of physical, professional, andleadership development and up to aΒ six-month certification program.

Week 2 is officially in the books!
I couldn't be more proud of the growth these students have shown in just two short weeks.
This week, we focused on one of life's most important skills: managing stress and protecting our mental health. We talked about identifying stress triggers, building healthy coping strategies, and learning how to stay calm under pressure.
So today... we put those lessons to the test.
We turned the classroom into a Stress Olympics, where students competed in a series of "Minute to Win It" challenges, but with a twist. We intentionally added pressure, distractions, and time limits to simulate stressful situations. The goal wasn't just to win the games, it was to practice the skills they've been learning all week.
They worked on:
*Staying calm under pressure
*Communicating effectively as a team
*Managing frustration when things didn't go as planned
*Maintaining a positive attitude
*Building resilience and adapting quickly
There was plenty of laughter, a little healthy competition, and some incredible teamwork. More importantly, our students walked away with a reminder that stress is a part of life, but how we respond to it is a skill that can be learned and strengthened.
Every week at Kainos Academy, we're helping these young adults build more than job skills, we're helping them build confidence, resilience, and the tools they'll carry with them for the rest of their lives.
On to Week 3!

To say that today was amazing is an understatement. I am so proud of our 12 students and the amount of vulnerability they showed on day 1. Here's to the next six weeks! I'm so excited for your growth and success!!

One year ago, Kainos Academy was just a vision.
Tomorrow, we welcome our second class of 12 incredible students and continue building something that is changing lives right here in our community.
These 12 young adults have chosen to invest in themselves, step outside their comfort zones, and commit to six weeks of growth, learning, and transformation. They all have different stories, different goals, and different dreams, but they share the courage to take the first step.
Over the next six weeks, they'll learn the skills that help people succeed not just in a career, but in life: self-awareness, communication, resilience, confidence, goal setting, mental wellness, financial responsibility, and professional development.
They'll explore career paths like HVAC, Welding, IT, Automotive, Carpentry, Medical, Real Estate, Cosmetology, and more, while working toward an opportunity to receive up to $2,500 toward the trade school or career training of their choice.
But Kainos Academy has never been just about jobs.
It's about helping young people discover who they are, recognize their worth, and realize what's possible when someone believes in them.
To our Summer 2026 Class:
We believe in you.
We are proud of you.
We can't wait to watch you grow.
Tomorrow isn't just another Tuesday.
It's the beginning of six weeks that could impact the rest of your life.
Welcome to Kainos Academy. Let's get to work.

It's almost time!! We are kicking off our second Kainos Academy class on June 16th!
Over the past few weeks, we've had the opportunity to meet with some incredible young adults from across our community. Their excitement, ambition, and determination to build a better future have been inspiring, and we cannot wait to begin this journey with them.
For the next six weeks, these students will be challenged to grow personally and professionally as they learn real-world skills that will help them succeed in life, work, and whatever career path they choose. From communication and leadership to financial literacy and career readiness, they'll gain tools that many people don't learn until much later in life.
And that's just the beginning.
Upon successful completion of the program, students can receive up to $2,500 toward the trade school or career training program of their choice. Whether their future is in HVAC, welding, healthcare, IT, automotive technology, cosmetology, real estate, carpentry, or another skilled profession, Kainos Academy is committed to helping them take that next step.
These students were selected because they showed potential, character, and a desire to invest in themselves. We believe this opportunity can be life-changing, and we're honored to be part of their journey.
Please join us in congratulating the Kainos Academy Class of Summer 2026! ππ
The future is bright, and we're just getting started.
