So, with some editing help, I present CIR's Summer Adventure Day Camp's homage to the famous "cowbell" skit from SNL. Enjoy

When you only have 1 kid for day camp....you do what you want. Lunch at Lee's Chicken, afternoon at the zoo with ziplining, and then True North Ice Cream.

have 1 more week of directing summer camp before I return to driving the bus and mentoring for CIR. I have had a fun summer of acting like a kid again.

Not sure if we will do it next summer, but I would love to ask my FB friends, what would make you choose a summer camp for your child? Is it the activities, the themes, the location, these ease of dropping off, the hours for drop off and pick up, the price??? I would just like to make a pro/con list to look over. Thanks!

Here are some of the things we did and places we visited this summer with CIR's Summer Adventure Day Camp

Leila arboretum and children's garden, fantasy forest, Willard Beach, Bridge Park, Binder Park Zoo, Kalamazoo Valley Museum, Adventure Zone, Duck Pin Bowling, several trips to Willard Library, Flash Flood, Colon Magic Week, The Air Zoo, Craig's Cruisers, Horrocks, Jc Cinema, Lakeview Square Cinema, West Columbia 7. We spent lots of time in the kitchen, we made homemade rootbeer, ice cream, mac and cheese, churros, crab rangoons, sushi, Italian cream sodas, English muffin pizzas, meatball/tater tot foil pouches, s'more nachos and more! We had a lesson in making vegan pb&j cookies with Debra McCulloch and visited by my awesome theatre friend DeQuan Perry Jr. who performed songs for us. We played so many games, so many experiments, and even did some acting for our own skits. We were a small group but very busy.
