🤝 COLLABORATION = MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS!

Today, we had the privilege of collaborating with Central Community School System, and one thing is clear: what’s good for students across the Greater Baton Rouge region is good for ALL of us. 💙

We’re excited to continue growing our Industrial Craft partnership and creating even more opportunities for our teachers to collaborate, share ideas, and strengthen programs across our region. 🛠️⚙️🔥

It was a GREAT day at CTEC—and I have a feeling this collaboration may have sparked a little friendly competition. 👀

🌱 Agriculture is taking off at Istrouma Magnet High School! 🚜🔨

Students in Istrouma's Agriculture Program are getting hands-on experience while building skills for their futures! From building and selling picnic tables to exploring STEM, conservation, agriculture, and sustainable practices, students are learning by doing right here in the great agricultural state of Louisiana. 🌾⚙️🌎

These experiences are about more than a classroom—they’re connecting students to real-world skills, careers, and opportunities.

👏 Support Istrouma High School’s Agriculture Program and the incredible work of our students and teachers!

And if the pathway you want isn’t offered at your home high school, CTEC may be your next step! Students can apply to attend CTEC and access additional high-demand, high-wage career pathways while remaining enrolled at their home school.

So proud of EBR Schools for this incredible BESE recognition! 🎓🔬 Our amazing STEM pathways are giving students opportunities to complete rigorous coursework and earn STEM seals on their diplomas. These seals represent achievement, preparation, and pathways to bright futures in high-demand STEM careers! 💙🚀

Yesterday, we celebrated the STEM Diploma Seal Honorees following their recognition at the August BESE meeting. Thank you for all you do as educators and for the future of your students! Congratulations to the Lafayette Parish School System, East Baton Rouge Parish School System, and Jefferson Parish Schools.

JROTC plays an important role in Workforce Development by preparing students with the skills employers value most—leadership, discipline, teamwork, communication, responsibility, and problem-solving. 🇺🇸🎓

Our JROTC programs are about so much more than preparing students for military service. They help develop future employees, leaders, public servants, and community members who understand commitment, accountability, and what it means to be part of a team.
