Went Kappa Wednesday from our Primary Recruitment Director, Ava LeJeune from Lafayette, LA!

“Born and raised in Louisiana, I have always bled purple and gold and knew that I wanted to call Baton Rouge home. But, as my senior year came to an end, I started asking myself all of the questions that I never thought I would ask myself. “Is this the right decision?” “Is LSU high school 2.0?” “Will I truly find my people?,” or is that just what people from home were telling me? I took these anxieties with me going through recruitment, scared that I would be alone in Miller Mansion without actually finding my bridesmaids, and most of all disappointing the girls that went through recruitment before me. If I could tell you one thing as we start recruitment, is that those anxiety’s were all for nothing and you truly do find your people, your best friends, your rocks, and your bridesmaids when you step through those big blue doors. I love each of our girls with my entire heart and I know you will too! There’s nothing quite like Kappa, and that I can promise.”- Loyally, Ava LeJeune 💙

“Coming from a small town I wasn’t sure what to expect, I had so many questions on how everyone just knew where they wanted to end up. Going into recruitment I had no expectations, no strings, and no idea what my next four years would look like. After the first few nights in the dorm I had many conversations with others who were already so sure but I didn’t get it until I went to Kappa. After the first day I found myself looking at my schedule and checking for Kappa before doing anything else. I was always looking forward to short time I got to spend watching everyone in Kappa be unapologetically themselves. They were all excited to be there and the energy the entire week was something I had never experienced and I knew it was where I would be able to grow and become the best version of myself! These past years have been more than I could have ever imagined and I would give anything to choose this place again and get to relive every memory I have made at 4050 West Lakeshore Drive”-Ruby Louis (from PC’22)
