The PACE 2 class from the Hope campus enjoyed a field trip to Young Chefs' Academy on January 18th. The class began with reviewing safety rules and the names of ingredients, utensils and equipment. After a demonstration from the instructors, each student kneaded their pizza dough and added sauce and toppings. While the pizzas baked, they rolled cookie dough and decorated their cookie. It was a great opportunity for the students to soak up knowledge from the culinary arts while having fun! Several of the students were joined by their parents who also participated in the cooking experience.
St. Lillian Academy, Broadmoor Campus and Hope Campus, will be closed Tuesday, Jan 16 due to the anticipated inclement weather.
SLA follows EBR regarding school closures due to weather conditions. We will be monitoring closures for Wednesday.
Be safe and stay warm!
