Rubik's Cube Club members received medals for solving different sized cubes. 🥇
Unlocking those twisty-puzzles is a big deal! Here is a fun breakdown of what those medals actually mean in the cubing world:
⭐️Advanced Pattern Recognition: The ability to see a chaotic mess of colors and immediately map out the next five moves.
⭐️Muscle Memory: Training their fingers to execute high-speed "finger tricks" without actively thinking about the individual turns.
⭐️Resilience: Pushing through the frustration of accidentally ruining a nearly solved cube and starting over.

Mrs. Rebecca’s 6th grade religion classes learned about the Seder meal, ate and listened to paired music. Seder participants gather around a table to eat and drink items that remind them of the exodus using salty, sweet, savory and bitter flavors. Participation in this meal gives us a more profound understanding of the Eucharist. This is the Passover meal that Jesus ate with his disciples on the night before he died.✝️

Mary's Club had a great May meeting to celebrate the end of the school year! Our new Mary's Club tradition is that our 8th grade Mary's Club members crown the Mary statue in the school office. Nora McLarty did a beautiful job of crowning our Blessed Mother this year! We were blessed to have the very talented Tara Button come to our May meeting to do a special art project with our members. Mrs. Tara guided the students in a creative canvas project where students made a unique and beautiful rosary using their fingerprints as the Hail Mary beads and beautiful blue rocks as the Our Father beads. Mrs. Tara added more dimension by gluing on a beautiful crucifix and Mary medal to add to the beauty of the rosary canvas. We are so grateful to Tar Button, co-owner of Happily Ever Heartwork and Mudpies and Masterpieces, for sharing her time, talent, and contagious joy with our Mary's Club members!
