ππͺ STATE CHAMPIONSHIP SUCCESS FOR WHS POWERLIFTING! πͺπ
What a day for our Panthers at the State Powerlifting Meet this past Saturday!
π₯ Mung Lama battled all day long in the 132 lb division, staying in the fight through squat, bench, and deadlift. After entering deadlift only 25 pounds behind first place and just 10 pounds ahead of third, it all came down to the final liftβ¦
π
Mung pulled an incredible 510 lb deadlift PR on his final attempt to secure the win and become the 2026 5A 132 lb State Champion! π₯πΎ
π₯ Mungβs winning lift was ruled good with a 2-1 white light decision, making him our newest State Champion!
π
Huge congratulations also to Nathan Nguyen, who had an outstanding meet in the 114 lb division.
Nathan squatted 320 lbs, benched 155 lbs, and finished strong with a huge 375 lb deadlift to earn a spot on the podium as the 2026 5A 114 lb 3rd Place Finisher! π₯
Woodlawn brought two lifters to stateβ¦ and both came home on the podium. Thatβs what Panther Pride is all about ππΎ
Congratulations to Mung, Nathan, Coach Wigman, Coach Stampley and the entire WHS Powerlifting team on an incredible season!
