Fact: One reason individuals do not speak up about their situation is due to perceived embarrassment.

Let us embrace those who turn to us as; they experience this horrible monster called Domestic Violence.💜

The older I get, the more I’m convinced that life is about:
1. Having a relationship with God
2. Sharing God’s love with others
3. Doing kingdom work
4. Spending time with family/friends

According to SAMHSA– This is a time to remember the lives lost to su***de, acknowledge the millions more who have experienced suicidal thoughts, and the many individuals, families and communities that have been impacted by su***de. It’s also a time to raise awareness about su***de prevention and share messages of hope.

If you are struggling, please reach out for help. There is HOPE.

‼️ September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month ‼️

According to the CDC and NIMH, nearly 46,000 lives were lost to su***de in 2020 alone. Comments or thoughts about su***de, also known as suicidal ideation, can begin small — for example, “I wish I wasn’t here” or “Nothing matters.” But over time, they can become more explicit and dangerous.

Here are a few warning signs of su***de:
Increased alcohol and drug use
Aggressive behavior
Withdrawal from friends, family and community
Dramatic mood swings
Impulsive or reckless behaviors

Pay attention to others. Ask questions. Report suspicious behaviors. Ask for help. Pray & seek God, always!

I am convinced that individuals who “go through” with it, really didn’t want to. In the moment, they feel as though there’s no way out. They have thoughts of helplessness & hopelessness.

I say: there’s ALWAYS a way out of whatever dark place you’re in.
