Our future educators continue to be fierce leaders!

HUGE congratulations to Geaux Teach senior Julia Lancaster as she was just named the LSU President of National Council for the Social Studies! NCSS is a club for future secondary social studies teachers to introduce and explore teaching tools, techniques, and technology to develop professional attitudes and skills. NCSS helps future social studies educators to connect the professional education community through meetings, discussion, lectures, emails, and newsletters.

Julia is set to student teach social studies at Liberty High School and currently serves as Director of Student Success on the GTH Advisory Council. We are SO proud of her gracious achievement and we wish her the best of luck upon her upcoming year of leadership! GEAUX TEACH & GEAUX JULIA! πŸ’œπŸ’›πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ«

Kicking off the right way!

Lucie Louis is a senior expected to student teach English at Liberty High School! She also currently serves as a Communications team member on the GTH Advisory Council. Here is what she had to say about her time in Hawaii!

β€œI went to Honolulu on the island of Oahu while I was there Spend time on the beach checked out the North Shore and went scuba diving for the first time. It was so much fun I saw a 6 foot shark and an eagle ray.”
