Ableism characterizes people as they are defined by their disabilities and it also classifies disabled people as people who are inferior to non-disabled people. DAC is here to help fight this issue in our campus community.

Meet Myliyah, our videographer! She loves listening to music, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with her family and friends.

Disability Advocacy Council has worked to advocate for around 7,000 students with disabilities at LSU. By working with administrators, DAC has advocated for the audible crosswalks across campus, invited the LSU community to our events, and shared valuable information from the Office of Disability Services. DAC hopes that you will support our organization so that we can continue to grow the community, promote inclusion and encourage support across campus. You don’t have to be someone with a disability to be an advocate and show your support!
