It's been a while since I posted anything regarding On Point Training Services LLC. Been busy upgrading the training curriculum and getting certified to offer new training. We recently became certified to offer OSHA training I.e. OSHA 10, OSHA 30 etc. NFPA70E training I.e. Electrical safety, ARC FLASH safety training etc. Please contact us if your staff is in need of this type of training.

The heat can become overwhelming if we're not mindful about staying hydrated while outdoors. The link above is a useful app for outdoor conditions and how to manage your activities. It's the OSHA -NIOSH heat index app. Download load it to your phone or go to your app store and download it from there. You will find it informative and useful. Stay hydrated and take reasonable breaks to cool down. 😎

I recently presented an overview on CPR. When we got to the part on if the patient regains a heartbeat and breathing but is still unconscious, the question was how do we maintain an open airway? We place them in the recovery position on their left side so we can maintain the airway and if they need to vomit, it goes away from them and not in their lungs. There's some other reasons but these are the more important ones. It was a good session with lots of questions and comments. This video is is a good demonstration on how to place the patient in the recovery position.

Saturday was a good day at Erwin Technical College teaching OSHA / MSHA recertification class. The group there was from MJM electrical contractors. They do a group training every year for their staff so they are compliant to work at the Mosaic mines and chemical plants. We at Erwin Technical College enjoyed presenting the class for them, a great group of people!

Attended the career stand down at Erwin Technical College this morning as a speaker / presenter. The topic was safety in the work place for all trades and why it's Important. Several young students attended from the electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpenters, and nursing training programs. I was glad to give them insight about the safety expectations of their chosen profession and how it will affect them.

I actually teach on the weekends at this school doing refresher training for OSHA /MSHA recertification for the local union trades that work at the Mosaic mines and chemical plants here in central Florida.
