Today in Bricks Challenge, our young engineers had a fun time building windmills and exploring gear-shifting
They learned about changing the velocity of a machine while it is in motion and experimented with the gear-shifting mechanism to achieve this. The kids always love the Windmill because it spins sooooo fast!
We are currently start our September sessions BUT YOU ARE NOT TOO LATE! So much fun was had with our Delivery Buddy build in Bricks Challenge today! 👋 
The group was introduced to the basics of drive gears and driven gears, learning how gears transfer motion and how the direction of rotation changes during transmission. The class also compared gear transmission with belt transmission, discussing when each system is useful and what makes them different. Today in Bricks Challenge, students learned about the crown gear and 90-degree transmission. 🔧🏍️ Being familiar with this engineering concept, students now have an additional dimension of building more engineering-enhanced machines. We tried to warn them.
Once kids discover Young Engineers, they start building, experimenting, coding, problem-solving and figuring out how things actually work.

Suddenly engineering is cool.
Robots are awesome.
Gears and pulleys make sense.
And learning feels a whole lot like PLAYING. 🙌
Sorry, parents. The condition may be permanent. 😂
