The student will be able to provide basic assessment and minimal care for patients of all ages with a specific set of medical conditions or traumatic injuries. This course provides certified EMTs with the advanced knowledge and invasive skills necessary to bridge the gap between basic life support and advanced pre-hospital care.

Operating under medical oversight, you will learn to utilize paramedic-level ambulance equipment, master advanced airway management and CPAP systems, establish vascular access through IV and IO placement, and safely administer critical emergency medications. The curriculum combines interactive didactic lectures with intensive hands-on skills laboratories and real-world clinical rotations in hospital emergency departments and active EMS units. Upon successful completion, graduates receive a Course

Completion Certificate and gain immediate eligibility to sit for the National Registry (NREMT) cognitive and psychomotor licensing exams.

Students complete rigorous training through ServSafe for safe food handling and S/P2 for safe kitchen practices. These skills help students understand the responsibility, integrity, respect, and attention to detail the food service industry expects. And the best part? 🍪 In just the first four weeks of school, students can earn two dual-enrollment college credits! This immersive 4-week program at CVAE in Barre is your ultimate health career gateway. Classes will be held four days a week (6.5 to 7.5 dynamic hours daily). This rigorous training sharpens your skills in medical terminology, patient care, and vital signs monitoring. You will build your professional portfolio by earning five critical industry credentials: OSHA-10, CPR, HIPAA, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Mental Health First Aid. Best of all, tuition assistance is available via WIOA, VSAC or Hireability for qualified applicants. *Integrated English Language Learner (ELL) support runs alongside the curriculum, ensuring everyone can confidently master the material.
