Welcome to The Quabbin Regional School District's Special Education Parent Advisory Counsil page!
That's a mouthful, isn't it?
This year, we are trying to transform the SEPAC to be more informative and more engaging. We want to continue to provide you with the information on services and events, but we also want you to feel like we're a tribe of committed parents and caregivers that are available to support and uplift you. We have plans to create a space where we can just relax and talk about our kiddos-the good, the bad, and the ugly. We want to plan meet and greets so that you can get to know your paraprofessionals and support staff. We want to let you know about local support services and create an environment that you know you can turn to, even if it means we all have to put our heads together to find the support.
Last year we started planning events such as college visits, and we want to continue the momentum by inviting other resources that involve the transition from Elementary to Middle, Middle to High School, and High School into College/Work/Trade school and beyond.
The SEPAC is looking to host sensory friendly events for students of all ages and working with the schools on creating more inclusive activities for kids who are easily overwhelmed at a standard school event.
We need your help in building this organization up to something amazing. Please consider joining the Quabbin SEPAC Facebook group and sharing this page with your friends.
