When my kids were younger, reading a loud and lots of free play was our primary homeschooling. We even got in our math with read alouds and hands on practice. This is a fantastic list for ways to engage your children, especially if you are new to reading a loud and need to build attention. Our favorites were to take a book outside and beeswax or play dough to keep the hands busy. Reading a loud is still a family favorite, even for our teenagers.
