🏐 LADY BULLDOGS SWEEP COMFORT! 🐾
What a way to begin the season!
All four Bandera Middle School volleyball teams opened their 2026 seasons with victories on the road against Comfort!
🐾 8TH GRADE A TEAM
The 8th Grade A Team battled through three sets to earn a hard-fought victory:
19-25 | 25-20 | 16-14
Despite some first-game jitters and limited practice time together, the Lady Bulldogs showed tremendous effort, hustle and determination. As the match progressed, they settled in, found their rhythm and displayed strong serving, passing and teamwork.
Service aces:
🏐 Harper Word — 4
🏐 Trenlie Kocurek — 3
🏐 Lila Hicks — 3
🏐 Marlene Tetzlaff — 3
🏐 Abigail Wright — 2
🏐 Kenzie Campbell — 1
🏐 Karlee Jaschke — 1
Additional leaders included Hicks with seven digs and Tetzlaff with three kills, three assists, two blocks and two digs. Word recorded three assists and one dig, while Jaschke and Wright each added one kill and two digs.
Everly Vander Zee, Avery Ashcraft and Ireland Young each contributed a kill. Macy Keenan recorded one assist, and Kocurek added one dig.
There is still work ahead as the team continues improving its communication, focus and court positioning, but this was a great first step for a group with so much potential!
🐾 8TH GRADE B TEAM
The 8th Grade B Team also opened its season with a road victory!
After winning the opening set and dropping the second, the Lady Bulldogs elevated their play and captured the decisive third set.
The team continued to improve and gain confidence as the match progressed. These Lady Bulldogs have shown that they are coachable, determined and ready to push themselves to a higher level under the leadership of their new coach.
Their mantra says it all: OUTWORK EVERYONE!
🐾 7TH GRADE A TEAM
The 7th Grade A Team earned its first middle school victory with a straight-set win:
25-20 | 25-10
The Lady Bulldogs displayed great teamwork and confidence from beginning to end!

🏐 Karlee Kissee — 4 aces
🏐 Mia Cesta — 4 aces and 1 dig
🏐 Grace Garcia — 1 dig
🏐 Kennedi Hatch — 1 dig
🏐 Jude Smith — 1 match-clinching kill
Congratulations to the 7th Grade A Team on an unforgettable first win!
🐾 7TH GRADE B TEAM
The 7th Grade B Team completed the sweep with a straight-set victory:
25-17 | 25-20
The Lady Bulldogs worked incredibly hard and showed significant improvement throughout the match. Evelyn Walker brought confidence and energy to the court with several impressive aces, followed by some big serves from Harper Haby!
The Bulldogs continued to gain confidence, supported one another and never gave up. Their teamwork and determination paid off with a well-deserved victory!
