8th Grade A Team
The Bandera Lady Bulldogs continued their impressive run Monday night, battling their way to a thrilling three-set victory over Ingram to extend their winning streak to seven consecutive matches.

Bandera showed tremendous fight throughout the match, keeping rallies alive and making play after play defensively. The Lady Bulldogs consistently chased down loose balls and refused to let points slip away, while strong serving and timely attacks helped them control the court.

Marlene Tetzlaff led Bandera from the service line with four aces while adding two kills, one block, seven assists and one dig. Lila Hicks also made an impact with two aces, three kills and three digs. Harper Word contributed one ace, two kills, one dig and seven assists.

Defensively, Kenzie Campbell turned in a strong performance with a team-high 16 digs and one ace, helping keep Bandera in numerous long rallies. Karlee Jaschke added one dig, while Hicks, Tetzlaff and Word also contributed defensively.

At the net, Everly Vander Zee recorded two kills, while Liv O’Donnal, Macy Kennan, Ireland Young and Abigail Wright each added a kill. Avery Ashcraft finished with two kills and a block, while Young added a block. Wright also contributed an assist.

Other serving contributions came from Trenlie Kocurek, who recorded an ace.

With the three-set victory, the Lady Bulldogs have now won seven straight matches and continue to build momentum as the season moves forward.

Bandera’s combination of relentless defense, aggressive serving and timely attacks has the Lady Bulldogs playing with confidence and proving that they are willing to fight for every ball and every point on every play.

The Lady Bulldogs will look to make it eight straight when they return home Monday to take on Hunt at 6 p.m. Bandera will look to carry the same energy, relentless defense and aggressive play into the matchup as the Bulldogs continue their strong run.

8th Grade B Team
Bandera put together one of its strongest performances of the season, defeating Ingram in straight sets, 25–13 and 25–18. The Bulldogs showed tremendous growth from their first meeting with Ingram, playing with more confidence, consistency, and energy from beginning to end.

Serving was a major difference in the match. Maddie Anderwald delivered an incredible run in the first set, staying behind the service line for 12 straight points and helping Bandera take complete control of the set. In the second set, Emma Grant provided another big spark, serving for five straight points to help the Bulldogs create separation and finish the sweep.

The win was a complete team effort. Lilly Garcia continued to provide an important attacking option on the right side, while Presley Binnert and Hailey Perry gave Bandera a strong presence in the middle. Evie Rodriguez helped provide stability defensively, and the setters did a good job giving the hitters opportunities when Bandera controlled the first contact.

What stood out most was how well the girls played together. Instead of allowing mistakes or opponent points to turn into long runs, Bandera responded, stayed aggressive, and created scoring runs of its own. After falling to Ingram in the first meeting, coming back to win 25–13, 25–18 shows just how much this team has grown.

This was more than a win—it was a glimpse of what Bandera can look like when everyone comes together and plays as a team.

7th Grade A Team
Our 7th grade A Team Lady Bulldogs battled hard against the Ingram Lady Warriors, falling in two sets, 14–25 and 11–25.

While the scoreboard wasn’t what we hoped for, there were plenty of positives to take away from tonight’s match. Our girls stepped up and played different positions, supported one another, and worked together as a team. We saw players challenge themselves, learn new roles, and continue to grow throughout the match.

Stats include:

Grace Garcia and Maddox Moreno: 3 digs

Mia Cesta: 4 digs, 1 ace and 1 kill

Chelsea Farjardo: 2 digs

Ealyn VanderZee: 1 dig and two aces

Remi Hartsfield: 2 assists

Karlee Kissee: 1 assists and 1 ace

Irelynn Brenner: 2 kills

We have our next home game Monday @ 5 against Hunt!

7th Grade B Team
The 7th Grade B Team Bulldogs put up a great fight in a hard-fought three-set match! The girls showed tremendous hustle, teamwork, and determination from the first serve all the way to the final point. We had some great individual performances as well! Haby and Belche each recorded 3 aces, while Martinez had an outstanding night passing, with numerous good passes to help keep our offense moving. Schultz also had several strong passes, and Crisp contributed with 3 aces and 3 kills. This team continues to improve, compete, and fight for one another every time they step on the court. So proud of the heart and effort these girls showed!

Keep working, Bulldogs! 🏐💙🐾

Bulldogs Battle the Daubers in Exciting Football Matchup
Photos By Andrew Coloney

The 8th Grade Bulldog football teams battled the Llano Daubers in an exciting night of football, with the B Team earning a thrilling last-minute victory and the A Team battling hard in its first loss of the season.

8th Grade B Team
The 8th Grade B Team came away with an exciting last-minute win over the Llano Daubers.

Quarterback Malakai Macias had a strong game, making several runs for positive yardage and keeping the Bulldog offense moving. With just one minute remaining on the clock, Macias came through when it mattered most, scoring the game-winning extra point conversion on a pass to Urijah Reynolds.

The Bulldog defense also turned in an outstanding performance, holding the Daubers to just six points.

The offensive line provided strong blocking throughout the game, led by Parker Ayala, Patrick Guntharp, Garrett Goff, and Aiden Miedke.

Defensively, the Bulldogs were led by William Volkmer, Dylan McCrobie, John Heinen, and Jordyn Goldberg, helping the team hold on for the dramatic victory.

8th Grade A Team
The 8th Grade A Team played a hard-fought game but suffered its first loss of the season, falling to Llano 33-7.

The Bulldogs struck first in the opening quarter when Kohl Kissee connected with Aiden Rush on a 30-yard touchdown pass.

Branden Delaney had a strong game running the football, putting together several runs for positive yardage. The offensive line, led by Jett Lagedrost, Mason Esters, Mark Hinojosa, Brayden Konvicka, and Hy Hubble, opened holes and provided the protection needed for the Bulldogs to move the ball effectively.

On defense, David Freeman, Brandon Sevilla, Jagger Hodge, and Elijah Coloney led the Bulldog effort and played the majority of the game.

Although the Bulldogs battled hard from start to finish, the Daubers were able to pull away and earn the victory.

Both Bulldog teams showed toughness, effort, and determination throughout the night as they continued to compete and grow as a team.

The Bulldogs have a bye week this coming week and will work hard getting prepared for Geneva.

7th Grade Bulldogs Drop Pair of Close Battles to Llano Daubers
It was a tough night for the Bulldogs as both the 7th grade A and B teams fell in narrow losses to Llano, with the A team falling 6-8 and the B team dropping a 0-14 decision.

B Team
The B team battled hard in a defensive struggle, unable to find the end zone despite solid effort on both sides of the ball. Cash Treisch paced the ground game, consistently churning out yards and giving the Bulldogs a spark on offense. Through the air, Carson Cothran spread the ball around to multiple receivers, connecting with Dax Schloemer on the night's longest play — a 34-yard completion. On defense, Blake Moore anchored the secondary, leading the team in tackles and making his presence felt on nearly every drive.

A Team
The A team put up a fight in a low-scoring battle, coming up just short in an 6-8 heartbreaker. Taggert D'Spain caused problems all night from the defensive line, consistently disrupting Llano's game plan in the trenches. Brayden Bolt came up big in the secondary, hauling in two interceptions to give the offense extra opportunities. The Bulldogs' lone touchdown came on a nice connection between Charlie Byrd and D'Spain, who reeled in a 4-yard scoring strike. Special teams also did their part, as Hunter Cardenas boomed multiple punts inside the 20-yard line to help control field position throughout the game.

Both squads will look to bounce back and regroup as they head into their Bye week this week.
