Our next Create a Smile Champion is Jada Matthews. Jada has been with Loyola Dining for 1.5 years currently serving as a catering server. Jada’s favorite food on campus is Boulder’s French fries, favorite artist is Summer Walker, and if she could go anywhere in the world, Jada would want to go to Tokyo. Thanks for all your great work this year, Jada!

Our next Create a Smile Champion is Dondrea Chandler. Dondrea has been with Loyola Dining for 2 years currently serving as a baker at Iggy’s. Dondrea’s favorite food on campus is anything with veggies, favorite artist is Linkin Park, and if she could go anywhere in the world, Dondrea would want to go to Africa. Thanks for all your great work this year, Dondrea!

Our next Create a Smile Champion is Michael Furlow. Michael has been with Loyola Dining for 5 years currently serving as a catering cook. Michael’s favorite food on campus is mac & cheese, favorite artist is Gucci Mane, and if he could go anywhere in the world, Michael would want to go to Hawaii. Thanks for all your great work this year, Michael!

Our next Create a Smile Champion is Shymya Lewis. Shymya has been with Loyola Dining for 13 years currently serving as a cashier at Iggy’s. Shymya’s favorite food on campus is pasta, favorite song is “I’m gonna be ready” - Yolanda Adams, and if she could go anywhere in the world, Shymya would want to go to Jamaica. Thanks for all your great work this year, Shymya!

Everybody get up, it’s time to slam now 🏀! Yesterday, our annual team member basketball showdown took place and experienced an all time classic. In a game that not only went into overtime, but also went into a next bucket wins scenario, the Iggy’s team pulled away with a 25-24 victory over Boulder. Thanks to everyone on our team for playing!

Happy Commencement to our Spring ‘26 graduates. Loyola Dining would like to spotlight and extend our sincerest thank you and congratulations to our senior Marketing & Engagement Intern, Madi!

Madi has been behind the scenes on social media and at several tabling events for dining this past year, showing a friendly face and always ready to help. Madi is from North Brunswick, New Jersey. Madi is receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Communications with specializations of Advertising, Public Relations, and Digital Media. Her dream job is to one day work in the music industry, ideally in marketing. Her favorite food on campus is the Teriyaki Salmon in Boulder. She also loved working tabling events for dining but also really enjoyed the Passport Dinner. Some of Madi’s favorite memories of her time here at Loyola was eating and hanging out with her friends at the dining halls.
