Spring’s about to put on a show and the sky is the stage.

The BIG Baltimore Kite Fest blows back into Patterson Park on Saturday, April 11, 2026, noon to 4 pm, near the Patterson Park Observatory. It’s free for all, family-friendly, and basically Baltimore’s most wholesome flex.

Bring a picnic blanket. Bring a kite. Bring your people. We’ll have a free Friendly Flyer workshop, kites for sale at the Creative Alliance tent, food vendors, pop-up performances throughout the park, and a professional fly zone for the serious sky artists. Mark your calendars now!

Wednesday evening, pancake & sausage dinner at 5pm--with worship at 6:30pm. Please join the Breath Of God Lutheran Church for Ash Wednesday!

Do you need a evening alone without your children? Do you have last-minute holiday shopping to do? Would you like to go to a restaurant that doesn’t serve chicken fingers? If so, drop your kids off at our Parents Night Out, this Saturday from 5 to 8.

👻 Haunted Hallway! Enter...if you dare!

Join Baltimore Recnparks for the 1st Haunted Hallway at the Virginia S. Baker Recreation Center in Patterson Park!

It's time for Oktoberfest: Sour Beef & German Beer! All to support The Highlandtown Preschool. Sunday, October 19th, 12:30pm-4pm, at Breath Of God Lutheran Church (Pratt & Clinton Streets, in Highlandtown).

Come and join the fun! German beer on tap, varieties of sausage from Binkert's German Meat Products, sour beef using Haussner's recipe, dumplings, German apple cake, and plenty of great sides. Kids' activities, a big screen with some football on it, lots of lovely neighbors--it'll be a great way to spend an October afternoon!
