April 22nd was a big day for the Baltimore Chapter DAR with the dedication of an America 250! plaque in Federal Hill Park. The weather cooperated and we were able to enjoy the sunny day. People across all organizations and agencies involved in this process attended.

The SAR Color Guard posted the colors accompanied by a fifer and drummer from Ft. McHenry.

We received greetings from Maryland State Regent Liz Deering. We heard remarks from Louise Devanney, co-chair of the MSSDAR America 250! Committee. Michael Lore, Deputy Secretary of State read a letter of greetings from Governor Wes Moore with a proclamation to follow.
We then dedicated the marker and unveiled it to the public. The event culminated with refreshments and conversations among attendees.

As you can see, there was a lot going on during our time in the park.

AND we even had TV coverage from WBAL

One of these women expressed interest in joining us as an associate member as her chapter is located in New England. Everyone enjoyed the time spent sharing information and fellowship.

The members of many chapters of the MSSDAR attended the annual Holiday Party on Dec. 7. Santa and his helpers were there, too. Everyone had a great time, sharing delicious food and fellowship. Pictured with Santa are State Regent, Liz Deering, 1st Vice Regent Patti Mcclay and Duvrese Scarlett.

Santa helped with the live auction with Junior members.

Baltimore Chapter Regent, Pam Russell and associate members Bliss Kaye (pictured with her daughter, Helen), Mary Fisher and Beth Schenck were in attendance.

The proceeds from cookie sales, silent auction, and live auction will go to support the Chapter House.
