The Mobile Pervasive and Sensor Systems Laboratory is a unique lab in CSEE at University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and CSCE, University of Arkanasas.

We focus on projects related to renewable energy driven devices, mobile-phone applications, and healthcare applications.

Anoop Bhatti graduated with a M.S. this morning. He is the 20th MS thesis student I have graduated in 8 years as a faculty. His work was on applying deep neural networks for classifying fragmented sleep from leg movements. Congrats. He joins a defense contractor as a full time student.

Our group has received close to $170K for a year in seed funding from Defense Collaboration Services to study human adaptations in a War fighting scenarios. The project combines Virtual reality with EEG monitoring to understand human state in an immersive training scenario. Stay tuned for some cool results on this extremely challenging problem.
